Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the country’s Joint Military Command have vowed a “devastating response” following U.S. airstrikes on more than 80 targets across southern Iran.
In a statement issued by Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, officials said the attacks took place while the late Supreme Leader’s body was in Iraq for final funeral rites, describing the timing as particularly provocative.
